How long does a garage door installation take?
A standard single or double door replacement is typically completed in half a day once the door has arrived. Openings that need new track configurations, structural work or two doors take longer.
How long does it take to get the door itself?
Lead time depends on the model, colour and window options rather than on us. Common configurations are quicker; custom colours and glazing take longer. We confirm the lead time when the door is quoted.
Should I get an insulated door in Quebec?
For an attached or heated garage, yes. Insulated sections cut heat loss, make the door noticeably quieter and are much more resistant to denting. For a detached, unheated garage, insulation is more about noise and durability than heating cost.
Do I need a new opener with a new door?
Not automatically. If the existing opener is in good condition and sized for the new door's weight, it can be reused and re-set. A heavier insulated door on an older, underpowered opener is usually worth replacing together.
